MAND-papercuttingsArt students at Duval Charter School at Mandarin are learning about the Japanese culture through Notan paper cuttings. “Notan” is a term meaning “light-dark”. In the United States, this is known as positive and negative space, or contrast. The students are creating their own creative paper cut designs while learning about both space and contrast as foundations of art.
